· Proficient in drafting and editing quality office communications, taking notes and meeting minutes, researching and analyzing information to compile and report on.
· Answer phones, handle incoming and outgoing mail, be responsible for paper and electronic files involving legal matters – a task that requires accuracy and discretion.
· Assist in Texas Association of School Board (TASB) Policy Updates and local district updates to Board policy.
Coordinate policy changes with TASB to update the online policy manual, maintain the College’s paper policy manual and the history of College policy.
· Assist college personnel with Regulations manual and process documents for online access.
· Assist in the preparation of Board agenda items and backup documents for monthly board meetings.
· Work and communicate with all levels of administration, faculty, and staff in all areas of the College.
· Ability to follow oral and written instructions and procedures, process multiple projects, research and analyze information, and perform tasks effectively within given deadlines.
· Provide appropriate information to persons making inquiries regarding departmental or relevant college policies, procedures and programs.
· Proficient in drafting and editing quality office communications, taking notes and meeting minutes, researching, analyzing, and communicating information.
· Safeguard highly confidential data and information related to the office operation.
· Ability to use good judgment and independent thinking to set priorities, manage deadlines and multiple responsibilities.
Perform tasks efficiently under stress.
· Perform duties under minimal supervision.
· Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, and ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships across the College.
· Perform other duties of a similar nature or level.
Physical Requirements Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
