sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction Preferred Education/Training/Experience -Associate’s Degree or higher -CPR Instructor certified through the College of the Mainland CTC Minimum Knowledge & Skills -Medical teamwork, bedside manner, infection control, clinical skills and techniques, health promotion and maintenance, creating a safe, effective environment, informing others -Knowledge of the theory, skills, and job duties of the healthcare program intending to teach; lab set up, clinical rotation, troubleshooting, and operation of related equipment -Basic computer literacy sufficient to perform job duties such as using Microsoft Office -Knowledge of student engagement techniques, learning styles, retention strategies, and learning-centered philosophy -Experience with or willingness to learn latest teaching/learning technologies -Record keeping procedures -Written and oral communication commensurate with position and level of education, and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with students, coworkers, supervisors, and the general public Preferred Knowledge & Skills N/A Job Duties N/A Licensing/Certification Requirements As indicated by the healthcare program intending to teach (varies by program) CNA instructors must be a licensed nurse; have one year of experience in a long term care facility; have completed a course that focused on teaching adult students or have experience teaching adult students or supervising Nurse Aides Physical Requirements Positions in this class typically require: stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, fingering, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions -Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
