Job Description
Assist Senior Plant Operators and Utility Maintenance Technicians in the operation of the Wastewater Treatment Plants and lift stations.
This is a safety sensitive and/or DOT position.
As such, you will be required to participate in random drug testing at the city.

Check condition of pumps and motors; chart and recorder KWH readings and related equipment for proper operation and maintenance
Daily cleaning activities on tanks and basins; maintain grounds and conduct rounds on all wastewater treatment plants and lift stations
Conduct various plant control test and record readings as needed
Assist Senior Plant Operators and Utility Maintenance Technicians with routine maintenance and lubrication of all equipment
Maintain records of equipment through data entry
Performs all other duties as assigned
Subject to afterhours and weekend callouts
Must be able to provide services for the benefit of the general public during emergency situations that threaten the safety of League City’s citizens, and that, City employees must be able to work immediately before, during, or immediately after an emergency.
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Valid Class C Texas Driver's License.
Ability to work on call schedules, first responders
Ability to obtain a Wastewater Class D license within one (1) year.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
One to three years of experience in wastewater treatment and minor maintenance of motors and pumps or related field.
Any combination of education, training, and experience, which provide the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities needed for this position, may be substituted or evaluated at the discretion of the City.
