About You and This Role Dow has an exciting and challenging opportunity available for an Integrity Management Program (IMP) Engineer in the Site Pipeline Maintenance (SPM) group located in Freeport, Texas.
Area of responsibility for Site Pipeline Maintenance includes all four operating locations (Plant A, B, Oyster Creek, and Stratton Ridge) as well as the interconnecting pipeline corridors owned by Dow.
The geographic area of responsibility is approximately 84 square miles.
This role will have the opportunity to interface with multiple businesses across Texas Operations and will be critical in supporting the pipeline assets in accordance with GMISS and DOT compliance while helping to manage a budget of well over $20 million annually.
You will assist and drive key components of the Integrity Management Program (IMP).
IMP is a government mandated program aimed at improving pipeline safety through accelerated inspection, testing, and repair of pipelines in hazardous liquid and gas service.
Within this role, you will have primary responsibilities for managing the technical aspects of inspection work to improve safety, reliability, and maintainability of our pipelines, as well as ensuring DOT and RRC/DR Regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities: Ensure quality of Front End Loading (FEL) job planning for IMP activities.
Specify integrity assessment methods based on relevant threats to pipeline.
Gather quotes for integrity assessments and help maintain budgets.
Analyze data from integrity assessments and specify repairs.
Investigate IMP issues that meet regulatory trigger criteria.
Perform Threat Assessment and Risk Assessment to develop contingency plans and preventive/mitigative action for IMP activities.
Review and build compliance plans.
Complete and lead IMP assessment Closure Reports.
Have a comprehensive understanding of DOT regulations, and industry standards to determine applicability to the IMP program.
Continually update Procedures and Protocols for compliance with new regulations.
Be a leader in improving EH&S through all aspects of the organization.
Maintaining records for pipeline integrity assessments and repairs.
Required Qualifications: A minimum of bachelor degree in engineering or relevant military experience at or above a U.
S.
E6 ranking OR Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class ranking.
A minimum of three years of relevant experience.
Must posses a TWIC card or be eligible to obtain a TWIC card.
