The Life Quality Analyst Team within Life/Annuity Systems is currently seeking candidates for the position of Senior Quality Analyst for our Galveston, TX location.
The successful Senior Quality Analyst possesses the skills necessary to develop, execute, and maintain test plans, scenarios, cases, and scripts.
You will utilize your expertise to analyze and validate that software applications, systems, and programs are functioning in accordance with the business area’s expectations.
You will identify errors, defects, system problems, and unexpected results prior to implementation.
Essential Functions and Duties:
• Develops and executes test plans, cases, scenarios, and scripts
• Applies industry standard testing techniques
• Demonstrates understanding of insurance concepts
• Validates and analyzes expected and unexpected results
• Documents defects and resolutions properly
Qualifications:
• 4 years experience in the software testing field or 8 years life insurance administration experience
• Understand the fundamentals of testing and possess the skills to perform complex system testing
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with constant change
• Understanding of the Life Policy Administration business unit procedures and system processes is a plus
• Knowledge of general insurance and annuity principles and practices is a plus
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Self-motivated, team-oriented, and able to function successfully with minimal supervision
