Description
This position provides clerical and administrative assistance to the department.
Job Responsibilities
Gathers and prepares all information needed for prosecutors to screen and file cases.
Pulls case files for the docket.
Process/scan cases through Odyssey system
Manages digital evidence using Genetec system
Delivers files to courtroom as requested.
Enters information into criminal history automated system.
Prepares disposed cases for transport to warehouse.
Receives visitors and directs to appropriate personnel.
Answers telephones, directing calls and taking messages as appropriate.
Maintains files and records for the department.
Develops and prepares a variety of reports as requested.
Types and prepares correspondence and legal documents.
Assists department personnel as requested.
Performs standard office duties including faxing, copying, and shredding as requested.
Ability to operate common office equipment.
Must have the skills to multi task on a daily basis
Able to report regularly for work and be on time.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
Ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations at a level commonly associated with the completion of high school or equivalent.
1+ years of experience working in office administration
Must have proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office)
Must be an excellent typist
Ability to work as a team player with the other staff in the office
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Excellent skills in office organization and procedures
Excellent phone skills
Excellent customer service skills
