Description
The purpose of this class is to provide clerical and customer service support for the operations of the District Clerk's Office.

Job Responsibilities
Receives and responds to customer inquiries (verbal, written and/or electronically) regarding judicial records (public and/or non-public), or general information inquiries in a timely and courteous manner.
Receives, retrieves case papers/orders and other documents (public and non-public), accesses, identifies and interacts with documents, record collections and when necessary to apply annotations and file marks, or certification stamps to forms or documents, in a timely manner.
Calculates fees, and when authorized assess fees in software system.
Adds data entries in case management and other software applications in a timely manner.
Performs record management task consisting of scanning, indexing, image attachment, verification (quality assurance) to record collections in a timely manner.
Completes any other task/training as assigned by supervisory personnel in a timely manner.
May perform all services of a passport acceptance agent.
Performs related work as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
Physical demands refer to the requirements for physical exertion and coordination of limb and body movement.
Unavoidable hazards refer to the job conditions that may lead to injury or health hazards even though precautions have been taken.
The work is typically performed in an office while sitting at a desk or table or while intermittently sitting, standing, or stooping.
The work may require the lifting and transporting of files/records weighing up to 20 pounds.
The work may require the use of filing/record retrieval equipment and may include climbing.
When authorized the work may require the driving of a county vehicle.
Emergency Preparedness Tier Level: 1
Special Certifications and Licenses:
Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.
